About Me

Wafa Yunis is an avid reader, passionate writer and a profound storyteller. After spending most of her career in digital art and illustration, she often felt this void - seasoned by a crippling urge to do something more. It was then she left her well-paying job as a designer at McKinsey & Company to embark on her journey to become a journalist. After graduating with honors in Multiplatform Journalism from Seneca College, she now works as a freelancer with Global News. She continues to aspire to be a journlist who is fair, unbiased and thrives on one thing - to voice the voiceless. Afterall, what's better than telling the stories that have been lived?

"The world is not made up of atoms, it's made up of tiny stories." - Joseph Gordon-Levitt
